Before connecting channels
Treat channel bots and remote access as production surfaces. Confirm pairing rules, allowlists, exposed ports, webhook secrets, and approval policy before letting external messages trigger workflows.
Before running unattended workflows
Run Dry Run, classify effects, verify credentials, set budgets, and start with read-only or low-risk tasks.
- Check every file write, message send, HTTP write, and command step.
- Use human approval for destructive or external actions.
- Keep provider keys in environment variables or the secret store.
Ongoing checks
Use Activity, Maintenance, logs, costs, and approvals to find stuck jobs, stale cron runs, noisy workflows, and unexpected spend.
